NaijaProfiles is an independent Nigerian biography website. We publish clear, well-sourced profiles of notable Nigerians — from independence-era nationalists and traditional rulers to today’s actors, musicians, creators, politicians and athletes.
What we publish
Every biography follows the same structure: quick facts, early life, education, career, achievements and legacy, frequently asked questions and a list of sources. We focus on public, verifiable information about each person’s life and work.
How we research
We build each profile from reliable sources such as official websites and verified profiles, interviews the person has given, reputable Nigerian and international news organisations, books, encyclopaedias and government records. Sources are listed at the end of every article. We do not publish rumours, speculation about private lives or invented figures such as unverified net worth estimates. Read our Editorial Policy for details.
Who we are
NaijaProfiles is written and edited by Great Yusuf, a student of History and International Studies at the Federal University Lokoja, with a background in digital publishing. Our history profiles draw on that academic training in working with primary and secondary sources.
